Hidden Lake Ranch is located in the foothills on the western side of the California's Sierra Nevada mountains. This gently sloping 30 acre ranch sits at about the 2,000 foot elevation level in the "Foothill Oak Woodlands" habitat belt. A seasonal creek enters the south eastern boundry of the ranch and wanders west, enters (and seasonally fills) the lake and then exits the north central boundry of the ranch.
As the name implies one of the beautiful features of this ranch is the lake. Prior to purchasing this property, our family looked far and wide at a multitude of properties before we fell in love with and purchased this one. This property is hidden from view (hence the name) and in fact many long time area residents don't even know it exists. To learn more about the lake simply click on the tab at your left.
The ranch, which has been left mostly in it's natural state, contains forrested belts and several large meadows. Trees include many "heritage" oaks and cedars, several varities of pines and few manzanita bushes, blackberries and various other types of flora make up the landscape.
This propery is a haven for local wildlife and we fully intend to keep it that way. Hunting on the property is strictly forbidden. You can find out more information about the the lake and the resident wildlife by clicking on the tabs on the left.
